Half term is the ideal time to take a break, spend some valuable time with loved ones and make the most of the beautiful spring weather, but the family friendly staff at our luxury hotel in Bath know it’s not always easy to find ways to keep the whole family entertained during the holidays.

What better way to get your kids outdoors this half term than to head to the Bath Skyline Woodland Play Area? Take a stroll to the Woodland Play Area on Wednesday 31st May and join in with the Bath Skyline Wild Wednesday adventure. You and the kids can spend the morning in the woodland play area where you will pass the morning building shelters in the woods. Will your den survive the ‘rain’ test?
Meet the furry farm animals at this urban green spot for family-friendly fun. It’s a great place to take your children to run around and explore all there is to see at the City Farm. Follow the nature trail, stop off to see the ducks, chicken, pigs and herd of cows en-route, then head over to the picnic area for a snack whilst enjoying the best views over the beautiful City of Bath. Best of all entry is free and there is ample parking available.
Bring the whole family along to the creative May days at Victoria Art Gallery this May half term. Take part in either one or both craft filled days where you are invited to create beautiful big flowers, mini bugs and butterflies and to create a spring picture using watercolour pencils. The perfect half term activity for young budding artists.
May is nature and wildlife month at the Wildlife Park, explore the banks of the River Avon and discover the nature and wildlife that lives alongside it. Learn about creepy crawlies, wildlife and nature from the Avon Valley team and various experts throughout the month of May. There’s an adventure for every age at Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park with train and tractor rides, pets corner, falconry, mini-golf, boating and pedal go-karts.
Take part in either one or two action packed days playing games, getting messy with arts and craft activities and creating colourful stories and characters at the Edge Studio this May half term. Both days will be a special mix of imaginative fun incorporating the themes of The Know Show exhibition which features work by several artists. The MAKE days will be led by experienced artist educators from the Edge Arts team. MAKE is sure to be the highlight of your kid’s half term.
