Mexican Fiesta at The American Museum

Sunday 30th October 2016

The Mexican festival; Día de Muertos is known for its colourful decorations, marigolds (or Flor de Muertos) and the synonymous sugar skulls. This year all the fun of the Mexican festival is coming to Bath! Join in the festivities at The American Museum, where you can enjoy traditional music from Mariachi Tequila, and leave an offering at the marigold garlanded altar.

BathVA Vintage and Antiques Market at Green Park Station

Sunday 30th October 2016

Occurring on the first and last Sunday of every month, from 8.30am-4pm, the BathVA Vintage and Antiques Market plays host to over 50 high-quality traders. There is always a great atmosphere at the markets with a DJ spinning original vinyl, and plenty of foodie offerings. With stalls selling everything from cake to vinyl; antiques; vintage fashion and much more, there’s sure to be something that takes your fancy!

Bath Museums Week

Saturday 22nd – Sunday 30th October 2016

Museums Week celebrates the unique and broad selection of fascinating museums. There will be plenty of free and fabulous events at museums across the city. Find out what people used to wear in times gone by at the Fashion Museum, learn all about sculpture at the Victoria Art Gallery or make a splash (not literally!) at the Roman Baths. There are many more places to explore too, so get involved and learn all about Bath’s amazing history!

Events at The Theatre Royal

Saturday 22nd – Sunday 30th October 2016

There’s an awful lot going on at Bath’s Theatre Royal over half-term. There are performances from the English Touring Opera; a Mary Shelley inspired puppet show entitled ‘Little Frankenstein’; the award-winning comedy ‘Half Life’; a “darkly charming” puppet production called ‘Sleep Crawling’; a 90th anniversary, Macbeth inspired dance performance from celebrated dance company Rambert; some more incredible puppetry in the form of the captivating ‘Dans L’Atelier’; all topped off with the Big Fat Film and Theatre Pub Quiz on Sunday 30th October. Phew! There really is something for everyone!

Halloween Festival at Longleat

With creepy ghost tours of the house; a scarecrow trail; a ghost train; a skeleton maze; some spooktacular Halloween shows; Dracula’s ‘Bat Cave’; and an exciting Trick or Treat trail- you won’t be short of things to do at Longleat this Halloween! One thing you should definitely add to your to-do list is one of the ‘Nasty but Nice’ shows. These shows will teach you lots of fascinating facts about Longleat’s creepy crawlies. And of course Halloween would not be complete without a treat! if you manage to solve the Trick or Treat Trail you could be in for a tasty reward…
