Bath Festival Turns 70
Next month Bath Festival returns for its 70th year and we’re looking forward to joining in with the celebrations. Singer-songwriter and New York Times bestselling author Amanda Palmer (The Dresden Dolls, Evelyn Evelyn) headlines the opening night of The Bath Festival with her unique brand of punk cabaret.
From tragedy in Dunblane to triumph on the court, Judy Murray’s memoir Knowing The Score is a story of belief in the face of adversity. Focussing on her role as mother and coach to her sons Jamie and Andy, Judy will give an insight into the ups and downs of parenting a child with big dreams.
The biggest night of free music in Bath, performers will appear across 35+ venues, as well as on the city streets and outdoor stages. Festival (Queen) Square and Parade Gardens will be filled with great live music, local food and drink.
Imagine a stage filled with music, where the tiniest breeze becomes a beautiful note…Whoosh! is a multi-sensory show that introduces little ears to the power of music. Created by Dutch theatre makers Muziekvoorstelling and Festival 2 Turven Hoog, this unique family theatre experience is a fun-packed feast for your eyes and ears. In collaboration with the egg and the Edge. There are four shows throughout the festival giving you multiple chances to experience.
Join acclaimed crime writer and Killer Women co-founder Melanie McGrath and learn how to create memorable and believable characters from scratch. Create two characters of your own and discover how to use them in a story scenario. Expect practical exercises and lots of fun.
