Homewood Park Celebrates Bath in Bloom Success

von Essen's Homewood Park, the superb country house hotel set in ten acres of stunning gardens in Hinton Charterhouse, has been awarded first prize in the Bath in Bloom competition. The prestigious ceremony attended by green-fingered guests from all over the Bath area.
Enjoying an outstanding record of 7 prizes in recent years of the Bath in Bloom competition, this years success follows 1st prize wins in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2007and 2008.
Under the supervision of Steven Hargreaves, Head Gardener at Homewood Park for 20 years, the garden has been carefully designed and cultivated to provide a beautiful and welcoming space, which complements this inviting country house. The gardens combine stunning lawns with herbaceous borders and a traditional English rose garden, populated by classic David Austin roses. Steven grows the majority of the plants on site and has nurtured a cut flower garden for Homewood Park.

The highly contested annual competition, part of the prestigious Britain in Bloom contest, has awarded the Homewood Park garden for its impact, variety and use of the range of plants, colour combination, position and profusion and condition and care.
Homewood Park boasts a two AA Rosette restaurant serving the finest in modern English Cuisine. Private dining rooms for special occasions are available, each offering vistas of the ten acre grounds.
