Homewood Park is so perfectly located for all the attractions of nearby Bath - the Roman Baths, Limpley Stoke Valley, American Museum, Jane Austen Centre, Thermae Bath Spa, the Royal Crescent, Bath Theatre Royal and of course, the many world famous festivals that come to town every year; the Bath International Music Festival, Bath Literature Festival, Bath Fringe Festival, Iford Manor where the wonderful Iford Operas are held, and of course the magical Bath Christmas Market.
While in the West Country you might like to try your hand at the many country pursuits available nearby such as clay pigeon shooting, archery, quad biking, horse riding and much more. Then, of course, there are some excellent golf courses nearby, fabulous fishing on Chew Valley Lake and Blagdon Lake and sporting days out at the Bath Rugby Club, Badminton Horse Trials and the Bath Half Marathon.
If you would like to venture a little further, the historic cathedral city of Wells is just a short drive away and visit Wells Cathedral, the architectural treasure of the city. Just a few miles from Wells is the small and quaint town of Glastonbury, home to the famous Glastonbury Festival. While in the area Glastonbury Tor is also well worth a visit (don’t forget to wrap up warm).
Just under an hour drive away is the picturesque Somerset village of Cheddar, home to the Cheddar Caves and Gorge where you’ll find plenty to do above and below ground.
There are also numerous National Trust houses and gardens in the area such as Dyrham Park, Stourhead and Tyntesfield, not forgetting Stonehenge, one of the most important prehistoric monuments in Britain, Longleat House and Safari Park and Farleigh Hungerford Castle.
Homewood Park is ideally located for visiting the nearby schools, colleges and universities such as Prior Park College, Bath University, Monkton Combe School and Stonar School in Atworth. It's also near Freshford Station.
