Award-winning Gardens
Guests of Homewood Park always enjoy a stroll in the 10 acres of beautiful gardens which, under the supervision of Steven Hargreaves, have been awarded 1st prize in the actively contested ‘Bath in Bloom’ competition in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 creating a wonderfully attractive and peaceful environment for the hotel and restaurant.
The highly contested annual competition, part of the prestigious Britain in Bloom contest, has awarded the Homewood Park garden for its impact, variety and use of the range of plants, colour combination, position and profusion and condition and care.
For weeks, a panel of judges scrutinise entries from householders, schools, community groups and businesses to find the best displays of blooms in the area and have a tough time choosing between them because the quality is always so high.
Our most recent addition is the kitchen garden. Chef Daniel Moon and Gardener Steven Hargreaves are working closely together on this project to invest in first class, home grown, organic produce for use in the kitchen.
